The Dennis P. McHugh Foundation was established by Dennis' family and friends to ensure that his legacy lives on in as dignified a fashion as he himself lived his own life! His wife’s quote from the home page really succinctly sums up the importance that this library represents for Dennis’ three children in so many ways. 

Dennis was a firm believer in the importance of education and regularly took his daughter to local libraries as part of their daily routine.  This library will always serve as a deep token of our love for Dennis, his love for life, and as a means of giving back to the local community that has been very supportive during these very difficult times.   

There are no words that can describe the love and admiration that others had for Firefighter Dennis P. McHugh (Engine 22 Ladder 13). Dennis had such an optimistic outlook on life that instantly made everyone in his presence put a smile on his or her face, regardless of the situation.  Dennis had a remarkable quiet confidence that reflected his happiness with himself, his three adorable children, and Una his wife.

The foundation is a recognized non-profit public charity that has received its 501©(3) status, consequently all donations are tax deductible.  Anyone interested in viewing any of the supporting documentation regarding the foundation should feel free to contact us, we will gladly oblige.
